MeDeVision 2017- An Eye Opener to change Medical Norms
MeDeVision 2017 the three day National-Level Conference of All India Medical and Dental Students’ was hosted in D Y Patil University jointly with…Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and was inaugurated by Union Health Minister of Health and Family Welfare Shri J. P. Nadda along with Host & Chancellor of D Y Patil University Dr. Vijay D Patil.
The other distinguished dignitaries who blessed the event were Pioneer of Nuclear Medicine in India, Padmabhusan Dr. R. D. Lele, Youth Icon & National General Secretary Shri Vinay Bidre, President of Reception Committee Medivision 2017 and Obesity Surgeon Dr. Muffazal Lakdawala, Vice Chancellor, Maharastra Prof . Dr. Dilip Mhaisekar and Celebrated Dentist Prof. Dr. Sandesh Mayekar along with numerous students and faculties from Medical Sector.
While addressing the audience Union Health Minister Shri J. P. Nadda proudly said,“I have been associated with MeDeVision for past 3 years now and looking at how it’s shaping up every year I firmly believe that the Vision of MeDeVision is very Strong and it is developing at a very fast pace.”He also educated all about the Health Policy of 2017 saying, “Health Policy of 2017 is a platform to open up and think in the right perspective. The 2002 Policy was Disease Specific but now the Policy is not only Disease specific but focuses to find out methods for reducing the disease, so stress is more on Preventive, Promotive and Curative Healthcare.”
Even the Chancellor of D Y Patil University Dr. Vijay D Patil threw some light on how his father’s vision of amalgamating Education and Healthcare has given him a firm platform to work sincerely towards nation’s progress, he said “Healthcare is an area which requires extreme attention and presently Govt. of India is taking very Proactive role in promoting Healthcare among citizen of our Country. Private Institution in Medical Sector needs to find innovative ways to create necessary world class infrastructure and deliver affordable medical education to students of India”
