D Y Patil University, Navi Mumbai under the leadership of Dr. Vijay D. Patil, President of DY Patil University Navi Mumbai officially launched their state-of-the-art Cleft and Craniofacial Research Centre, Navi Mumbai’s first and finest in association with DCKH-ABMSS, a German organisation committed to cleft care in over 16 countries. This was an initiative by D Y Patil School of Dentistry and fully supported by D Y Patil Medical Hospital.

Working towards its goal of a cleft free India, the centre, first of its kind, offers complete functional, aesthetic and social rehabilitation to cleft patients completely free of cost. With an extremely experienced and altruistic surgical team, they deliver unbiased cleft care to all social strata.

Official Launch by the hands of Mrs. Shivani V. Patil, First Lady and Hon. Trustee, DY Patil University Navi Mumbai and Dr. Dushyant Prasad, General Secretary DCKH-ABMSS, India.
Treatments offered at the centre begin at birth of a cleft child and end at puberty which include a series of surgical interventions, speech therapy, Naso-Alveolar Moulding, Orthodontics all administered absolutely free of cost to the patient.

This initiative is in accordance with Honourable President Dr. Vijay D. Patil’s goal of delivering the finest, unbiased healthcare to all social strata.
